Noah's Story

By age 16 months old, precious baby Noah had spent more time in the hospital than most people do in a lifetime.

Born with Mosaic Trisomy 18, a rare genetic disorder, he remained in NICU for months due to respiratory distress and other complications. At five months, he was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia, a rare and life-threatening disease of the liver and bile ducts which can be cured only by transplantation.

After nearly a year-long wait with his liver failing, Noah was finally able to receive a life-saving liver transplant.

While Noah's devoted mother remained by his side constantly, she was unable to work. His father, the sole provider, also suffered income loss to closures at this job, leaving the family overwhelmed at a time when they needed stability to care for Noah and his brothers.

After receiving a referral from his social worker, immediate assistance was provided for the family’s rental payment, giving them one less thing to worry about.
