Becca's Story

At just 2 years old, sweet baby Becca was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare type of cancer that forms in the soft tissue.

Her treatment included hospitalizations and chemotherapy at a hospital far from their family's home. Mom and Dad rallied to care for their baby girl's health needs with long trips back and forth to the hospital, watching their young daughter go through painful tests and treatments. Dad juggled his job, sometimes missing days to be at the hospital or to care for their 3 other young children.

It was all hard enough, but sadly it got even harder.

Becca's Dad was in a terrible car accident, which left him fighting for his own life in an ICU for over 2 months with physical and cognitive trauma. Dad, the sole financial provider for his family, had a job with no disability benefits. Suddenly, the family was left with no income and facing dual medical crises as Dad braved an extended stay in rehab.

Support made a difference with utility payments and holiday gifts.
